COMPETITIVE Events Offered
Individual Series Events:
Individual Series Events, are single-competitor contests that challenge students to solve business problems through a 10-minute preparation period and a role-play scenario with a judge.
Team Events:
DECA team events consist of pairs of students to analyze a business case study and present solutions to a judge, emphasizing collaboration and quick thinking. Consisting of a 30-minute preparation period followed by a 15-minute presentation to a judge
Principle Series Events:
Principles of Business Administration events consist of a 10-minute preparation period and a 10-minute presentation to a judge. These events are designed specifically for first-year DECA members, providing an introduction to foundational business concepts through a case study scenario.

Principles of Business Administration Events are for individual first-year DECA members. The member is asked to explain several core business concepts.
